Jimmy Choo Sparkles for the Holidays

‘Tis the season to sparkle my lovelies and I’m delighted to share the new Crystal collection from Jimmy Choo, celebrating 15 years of unparalleled style.  I might occasionally cheat with that red-soled devil but my heart belongs to Choo for the brand’s dedication to high-voltage glamour. The Crystal campaign is shot by famed photographer Marilyn Minter.

“In celebrating our 15 years, I wanted to create a modern glamour that stands for the style and imagination of Jimmy Choo,” founder and chief creative officer Tamara Mellon explains. “I was inspired by vintage jewellery to add sparkling and luminous details to iconic Jimmy Choo shapes. I have long been a collector and a fan of Marilyn’s work and know that she can capture the essence of my vision.”

Getting your perfectly pedicured feet into these shimmery stilettos will set you back around $1500-2000US.

UGGS get GLAM

There are finally more images of the much-anticipated Jimmy Choo – UGG collaboration since Nicky Hilton first tweeted her love for her CHUGGS.

Supermodel Amber Valletta makes sheepskin look super sexy in this campaign ad wearing the ‘Mandah’ Uggs.  The collection will be available in stores on Oct. 21 and ranges from 595USD to 795USD.

“Other than Jimmy Choo, UGG Australia is the only other footwear I have in my wardrobe.  I wear it at home in New York, on holiday in Malibu and as an essential travel  accessory for my plane wardrobe,” says Jimmy Choo boss Tamara Mellon.

High-Heeled at Home

September’s issue of Harper’s Bazaar shows shoe queen Tamara Mellon, CEO and founder of Jimmy Choo sitting pretty high-in-the-sky of her Upper East side penthouse.   Mellon and her 8 year-old daughter Araminta are shown sharing shoes and some precious mother-daughter time.  Even with the dramatic decor of her stylish digs, the Choos steal the scene.

Lanvin for the Masses

It’s official.  Luxury fashion house Lanvin will create a collection for mass retailer H & M that will allow more people to experience the “je ne sais quoi” of French style.  Lanvin is known for high fashion and high price tags.

“When H&M approached us to do this collaboration, they asked if I could actually translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a bigger audience. It wasn’t a project about a dress for less. I think I loved the idea that H&M was going luxury, rather than Lanvin is going public,” said Alber Elbaz, the creative genius behind Lanvin.

H & M has previously collaborated with Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Jimmy Choo, Viktor + Rolf and Sonia Rykiel.

The collection will debut on the H & M website on Nov. 2 with clothes going on sale Nov. 20 in North America and Nov. 23 worldwide.  I’m excited to see how Lanvin’s impeccable tailoring and playful flourishes translate to a mainstream brand.

Jimmy Choo’s Boot-y-licious 24:7 Collection

Summer’s not over yet but it’s never too early to start thinking about fall fashions.  I’m already drooling over the Jimmy Choo 24:7 boot collection which is simply stunning. Blond bombshell Amber Valletta stars in the Autumn 2010 campaign which showcases everything from classic buckled biker boots to over-the-knee styles which are still going strong since last winter.   “We think of these shoes as investment pieces, timeless pieces, part of a wardrobe that every woman needs,’ said President Tamara Mellon.

Jimmy Choo also announced a collaboration with UGG earlier this year to co-brand a limited edition sheepskin boot to be made available in October.  It seems like the perfect solution for comfort when divas need a break from their four-inch Jimmy Choos.

Fabulously Green – Jimmy Choo 24:7

I am in love with my free-with-purchase eco tote bag from Jimmy Choo depicting this season’s oh-so-genius 24:7 collection. I’ve been finding any excuse to use this stylish little cotton bag for carrying everything from groceries to my iPad. Thanks Jimmy Choo for making it easier to be fabulously green!
