Jimmy Choo Sparkles for the Holidays

‘Tis the season to sparkle my lovelies and I’m delighted to share the new Crystal collection from Jimmy Choo, celebrating 15 years of unparalleled style.  I might occasionally cheat with that red-soled devil but my heart belongs to Choo for the brand’s dedication to high-voltage glamour. The Crystal campaign is shot by famed photographer Marilyn Minter.

“In celebrating our 15 years, I wanted to create a modern glamour that stands for the style and imagination of Jimmy Choo,” founder and chief creative officer Tamara Mellon explains. “I was inspired by vintage jewellery to add sparkling and luminous details to iconic Jimmy Choo shapes. I have long been a collector and a fan of Marilyn’s work and know that she can capture the essence of my vision.”

Getting your perfectly pedicured feet into these shimmery stilettos will set you back around $1500-2000US.

High-Heeled at Home

September’s issue of Harper’s Bazaar shows shoe queen Tamara Mellon, CEO and founder of Jimmy Choo sitting pretty high-in-the-sky of her Upper East side penthouse.   Mellon and her 8 year-old daughter Araminta are shown sharing shoes and some precious mother-daughter time.  Even with the dramatic decor of her stylish digs, the Choos steal the scene.

Love in Paris

My last blog entry on the launch of the new LOVE, Chloe fragrance inspired me to create the romantic mood board shown above. I love this season’s nudes in everything from clothes to shoes and handbags. These neutral tones are easy to wear and flattering on most skin types. With the right accessories, they look chic day or night. I’m having fun playing and creating on the Polyvore website so look for many more mood swings on the blog! C’est la vie, non?

LOVE, Chloe

I have a weakness for all things francais. So I’m absolutely overjoyed to hear that one of my favorite fashion houses Chloe just announced a new fragrance LOVE, Chloe to debut this fall. If you didn’t get an invite to the glamorous party at the Apicius Restaurant in Paris, check out the video which offers a sneak peek. I’m lusting after spokesmodel Raquel Zimmermann’s gold outfit and matching gold Mercedes convertible as she pulls up to the venue with film director Roman Coppola. Ooh-la-la!

Fabulously Green – Jimmy Choo 24:7

I am in love with my free-with-purchase eco tote bag from Jimmy Choo depicting this season’s oh-so-genius 24:7 collection. I’ve been finding any excuse to use this stylish little cotton bag for carrying everything from groceries to my iPad. Thanks Jimmy Choo for making it easier to be fabulously green!

Here’s a look at the 24:7 campaign.

Mr. & Mrs. Big

I had the pleasure of watching SATC2 last weekend against the advise of most critics out there. The fabulous foursome continue their adventures beyond Manhattan this time ending up in the opulence of the Middle East, where the well-heeled ladies find themselves questioning their lives and the relationships they left behind in New York city. Comedy, drama and a whole lotta shoes prevail in the sequel staying true to the series. Although the fashions were a feast for the eyes, I was equally impressed with Carrie and Big’s Upper East Side apartment which meshed their different styles into a beautiful and chic space. My favorite room of course, being the closet! Notice how Big’s side is dark and masculine while Carrie’s is light and airy. Plus, a bench for seating while slipping into those Louboutins!
