I often receive compliments on my hair being soft and shiny. I think that a lot of it has to do with my East Indian heritage so I’m pretty lucky! Nevertheless, I do take good care of my tresses with regular trims and minimal coloring. My latest love is the Montreal-based Morrocanoil line of products which contain argan oil, a expensive oil derived from the berries of the argan tree in Morocco. After using the Moisture Repair shampoo and conditioner, I simply apply a few drops of the Moroccanoil Oil Treatment before styling. It’s absorbed super-fast for being an oil and doesn’t leave a sticky feeling in the hair at all. During our cold Canadian winters, I periodically use the Moroccanoil Dry No More Scalp Treatment which provides that extra dose of nourishment.
Even Fergie is raving about Moroccanoil in this month’s People magazine, “I brush it through my hair and let it soak all night.”

I haven’t blogged for a few days so I thought this post should be extra delicious. Louis Vuitton‘s preview video of their 2011 Paris City Guide is mouth-watering as it shows variations of the Saint Honoré – “a genuine Parisian cake.”
The 2011 European Edition Box Set is to be released on October 15th and will feature seven new cities including Oxford and Porto Cervo.
LV has been publishing these stylish city guides since 1998 and provide a wealth of information for the discerning traveller. Globe-trotting has never been so delectable!

Les Khakis de Chanel limited-edition collection for nails is the perfect complement for Fall’s strong military trend. They look absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait to get my nails into these beauties. Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup, is the mastermind behind the palette, which debuted at Fashion’s Night Out last week. They can be worn alone for a sophisticated urban look or combined in alternating patterns for a chic camouflage effect. Each shade retails for $25.
The Plaza Hotel is a New York landmark and one of my favorite places to stay in the city. If I was six years old, I would want to check into their recently opened Eloise Suite, based upon the mischievous character in Kay Thompson‘s book who lives at the Plaza. It’s designed by Betsey Johnson in her typical fun and whimsical style that would make any little girl giddy with delight. The two bedroom Suite provides ample room for children and their parents at a rate of $2350 per night. The fun extends to other areas of the hotel dedicated entirely to the world of Eloise where modern day mini-divas can relax in the Tea Room, get primped in the Beauty Salon and attend Charm School. I can’t imagine them ever wanting to leave.

There are finally more images of the much-anticipated Jimmy Choo – UGG collaboration since Nicky Hilton first tweeted her love for her CHUGGS.
Supermodel Amber Valletta makes sheepskin look super sexy in this campaign ad wearing the ‘Mandah’ Uggs. The collection will be available in stores on Oct. 21 and ranges from 595USD to 795USD.
“Other than Jimmy Choo, UGG Australia is the only other footwear I have in my wardrobe. I wear it at home in New York, on holiday in Malibu and as an essential travel accessory for my plane wardrobe,” says Jimmy Choo boss Tamara Mellon.

The luxury brand Shanghai Tang, available only at a handful of stores around the globe, brings a modern sensibility to the old-world romance of imperial Shanghai. One of my favourite items from their F/W 2010 collection, an ode to the raw beauty of Mongolia, is the Genghis Khan mandarin polo for little boys. Notice the attention to detail and trademark mandarin collar. These are available in big boy sizes too.
